germanic madness!

yo, a big up to all my friends out there.
sorry that there has been no blogging but last week every time i went onto blogger the explorer crashed, today it is good. Well since last i posted a lot of cool stuff has happened.
i have finally finished my summer project, which was supposed to take 6 weeks, but due to safety restrictions it took 3 months. Because i was in a stinky river i could not go into the river if it was a particular depth. Then i had to do the chemical testing, really boring!

I had my first drum lesson off a friend called chris. he owns the den studios in dudley. a very good place to reherse if you have a band and also for drum lessons.

my aunty had a birthday party for her 21st birthday. well that was in 1976, i think that is right. sorry if it is not. Anyway nearly everyone from the church went down to their house, we had an open air band, (all the youth we played, we sung, we rapped.) it was a themed party, we all dressed as homeless people, some of us looked more convincing than others, unfortunatly i wore clothes that i used to go out in to look cool, oh how times have changed!
So that was a wicked night. A week later some of us flew to Germany.

Here is the first edition of the trip to the Dusseldorf CVJM.

are sitting comfortably? then i will begin.

Me, Myself, my aunty and uncle, james and ben went to the CVJM in dussledorf.
We were supposed to go to the airport by taxi. this is a warning, NEVER EVER BOOK SPASTIC TAXI'S. For legal reasons i cannot say the name of this taxi firm but i can te

MORNING!

To all who know and understand, MORNING!
I am gonna try and start blogging again as the last one seemed quite irrattic.
I think the best way to start anything is with a word of scripture, i will use my favorite verse's out of the the Bible and they can be found in Proverbs CH3, vs 5 and 6.

"TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART;DO NOT DEPEND ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING. SEEK HIS WILL IN ALL YOU DO, AND HE WILL DIRECT YOUR PATHS."

Amen.

A little bit about me, MY name is andy, i am a drummer, i have a girlfriend named amy,i am a christian. I attend Oakham evagelical church. I study at Birmingham University, Bsci in Environmental Geoscience. Basically rocks and the environment.

I would like to encourage anyone reading this blog to visit the soon to be up and running website www.thenazarenes.co.uk (launch date, friday 16th September). This is the rockin website of my band.Created by our bass player matt, his website is www.voodoobeard.com.

The Nazarenes are a band from Tividale, oldbury, west midlands, United Kingdom.
We write and perform our own songs, also a very close friend writes for us his name is JON. read his beautiful work at boneyard.org.uk. We also play worship songs with a bit os a zip to them. We are quite punky and ska'ry. The other members of the band are Stephen on lead vocals and guitar, his website is snickett.blogspot.com. And Aimee, backing vocals and Becky percussion (keeps me in time) and backing vocals.

Peace out and keep on rockin!

Week away

Hi yall, This last week has been cool. Firstly I went on holiday with the Amy down to paignton for a few days, that was cool. We went to, a town called cockington, little thatched roofed houses / shops and things. Then we went to kents cavern, which was entierly disapointing, then we went to some waterfalls, which were very pretty, and an Abbey, not so pretty but informative, and finally to Paignton zoo, this place rocks!

The we came home and went on a youth weekend from our church. This was cool, a bit of football, basketball and a frisbee related game.
The time spent there was really refreshing as we all got to know one another a little better. One thing i have learned is no matter how big you are, a gang of girls can take you to the floor when there is a frisbee loose.

Myself and as few lads had a short prayer time after the meeting, (done by james and nat) in a small sweaty stinky room, quite uncomfortable, buit still in the presence of God. I supose that could be a sort of metafore or something, as when we were in Gods almighty precence we felt uncomfortable! Also the bible study was cool.

We did Matthew 22,1-14.
we all had some thoughts whilst reading and shared them. It talks about a great feast. About the fact that many are called and few are chosen (verse14). This means that many people are called to Gods table, but few choose to eat.

It was a cool week, and today i found out i passed my resit and continue to laze the day away as a student!
Also can you pray for myself and a team from my church who are going to Germany in a few weeks to teach some kids to play worship songs.

Peace out!
